Rule 27
Formation of Interview Committee

(1) In the interview committee held at the central office of the Commission, an interview committee will be constituted with at least three members including the chairman of the interview committee and skilled or expert as per subsection (1) of section 35 of the Act.
(2) An interview committee will be formed under the chairmanship of the head of the relevant office or the nearest authorized employee designated by him for the interview in the regional and zonal offices of the Commission. If the office head of the regional and zonal office of the commission is vacant or due to other reasons, a representative from the central office of the commission may be appointed to preside over the interview conducted by an employee of the same rank/level or an employee senior to the office head of that office.
(3) In the interview held at the central office of the commission, the chairman and in the case of the interview held at the regional or zonal office of the commission, the head of the relevant office shall form the interview committee one day before the date of the interview, subject to sub-section (3) of section 35 of the Act.
(4) The chairman and members of the interview committee constituted as per sub-rule (2) shall be notified in a confidential manner.
(4A) If more than one interview program is to be conducted at the same time for any service, group, sub-group or position, an interview committee shall be formed according to sub-rules (1) and (2) according to the requirement and the team to be interviewed by round robin will be appointed.
(5) Other arrangements regarding the formation of the interview committee shall be as determined by the Commission.
